Hosted by seasoned industry professionals, Mitch and George, this workshop promises an immersive journey into the world of film graphic design. Whether you’re a budding artist or an aspiring filmmaker, this event is a must-attend to glean insights and hands-on experience.

Meet the Experts:

Mitch – A Visionary Art Director

With a career spanning over 25 years in the film industry, Mitch has carved a niche for himself as an Art Director. His portfolio boasts an impressive array of productions, including blockbusters like Aquaman, Thor Ragnarok, Godzilla vs. Kong, and more. Mitch’s versatility shines through as he traverses art departments, set design, props, and construction departments.

George – The Cinematic Graphic Designer

George brings to the table a wealth of experience as a graphic designer in the film industry. He has worked on over 40 major film productions and TV series. These include The Chronicles of Narnia, Love and Monsters, and Pacific Rim. George’s contributions have left an indelible mark. His roles as a graphic designer, scenic artist, and production designer have shaped the visual narratives of numerous cinematic gems.

Workshop Highlights:

The workshop is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the graphic design landscape within the film industry. Mitch and George will take centre stage, sharing their insights, anecdotes, and firsthand experiences. Mandatory Attendance:

Attendance is mandatory for all Graphic Design students. This unique opportunity offers a chance to learn directly from industry veterans, gain practical exposure, and network with fellow aspiring artists. To accommodate everyone, the workshop will be held at our Burleigh Heads classroom.
