Get Involved This World Environment Day 2023

This year, on June 5th, we are celebrating World Environment Day —a significant calendar date highlighting our commitment to the environment. We are thrilled to update you on the remarkable initiatives taking place across the Gold Coast to commemorate this important occasion.

Below, we proudly present three exciting local initiatives to foster environmental and sustainability awareness.

BeHive

Behive is an innovative climate tech startup that passionately promotes the concept of circular thinking. Their mission is to inspire individuals and businesses to actively engage in understanding and reducing their carbon footprint. By providing valuable insights into carbon emissions and empowering actionable steps, Behive facilitates real change and drives the transition towards a net-zero society. Their emphasis on tangible progress rather than mere good intentions ensures that meaningful and measurable environmental impact is achieved. With Behive’s guidance, individuals and businesses can play an instrumental role in creating a sustainable future for all.

10 Cent Tom

Tom’s service offers a professional wheelie bin pick-up and drop-off service across the Gold Coast. To receive a bin, all it takes is a donation of $200 to support the 10 Cent Tom project. By contributing to this initiative, every donation directly contributes to the project’s overarching mission of establishing a recycling depot on the Gold Coast. Additionally, these funds are instrumental in creating employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities within the community.
