  • This session is a student-led induction of sorts, offering honest insights from someone who has successfully completed the course. Emilio will share practical do’s and don’ts, tips and tricks, and real-world advice to help you get the most value from your studies.

    You’ll learn how to:

    • – Make the most of the resources available through Mindroom, the Queensland Government and the City of Gold Coast
    • – Understand how units of study and assessments connect — and why completing them on time (not last minute!) really matters
    • – Develop a personal project framework aligned with your career goals or future plans
    • – Use AI in simple, effective ways to support your learning — without replacing it
    • – Create an enjoyable student experience that genuinely adds value to your life and career

      About Emilio

      Emilio came to Australia for a gap year adventure that turned into several years of learning across different industries and cultures. After an extended career break, he struggled to return to his profession, especially in a new country. He used his project management studies to rethink his approach, focus on purposeful opportunities, and apply practical tools to increase his chances of success. Today, he works across architecture and project management, and enjoys exploring the balance between a rewarding career and an enjoyable lifestyle.
