Proposed by our trainer Lisa in collaboration with student Yandressa, this inspiring event brings learning outdoors. It blends project management, sustainability, and community engagement in one meaningful experience.

On Thursday, 6th November, our class will join the Gecko team for a one-hour guided walk at Burleigh Heads National Park. The walk will be led by Vicky Sullivan, Walks Strategy Liaison and Lead Educator at Gecko. Along the way, Vicky will share insights into the cultural significance of Burleigh Head, local conservation challenges, and how connecting with nature supports our health and wellbeing.

After the walk, Yandressa will guide an interactive activity inspired by her successful World Environment Day beach clean-up. This was a student-led project that received incredible feedback and inspired many to take action for our planet.
