OVERVIEW

This qualification equips individuals for diverse ICT roles, emphasising technical expertise. Covering complex responsibilities within specialised ICT domains, students navigate their professional paths independently or collaboratively in multifaceted projects, applicable across industries, businesses, and entrepreneurial ventures.

1. Database: SQL, noSQL, Website integration, Data Warehouse and Database design.

2. Data management: Data processes, modelling, technical documentation, requirements and operational.

The Database and Data Management diploma is focused on various methodologies of creating, storing and manipulating data. The course is built with elements from XML data handling to relational database management systems and NoSQL data manipulation. With a focus on IT fundamentals, the diploma adds Cybersecurity, leadership, web coding with data manipulation and documentation knowledge to ensure that students receive the knowledge needed to work in this data driven world.

COURSE DURATION

The ICT50220 – Diploma of Information Technology – Database and Data Management Specialisation will be delivered in 92 academic weeks and with 27 holiday weeks, a total of 119 weeks of enrolment.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

✔  International Students:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old when the course commences
  • Must demonstrate English proficiency equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.0

✔  Domestic Students:

  • Must be at least 15 years of age

✔  General Requirements for All Students:

  • A personal laptop is a mandatory requirement for in-class studies
  • Laptop Specs: Windows PC with an i7 chip. This spec ensures the machine will remain suitable for years, with appropriate RAM and HDD to match the CPU specs. Apple machines are not recommended due to frequent compatibility issues.
  • Proficiency in basic computer usage and software applications, including Microsoft Office or similar software
  • Proficiency in using any web browser

As part of our course enrolment process, students will undergo initial interviews and assessments to ensure they meet these requirements. Mindroom Innovation management will address any identified issues before the course commences to ensure a smooth learning experience.
