Mindroom Gives Back at Ocean Shores Tree Planting Initiative + Photos

On Saturday 2nd of May, a group of our students and Mindroom staff joined an inspiring community volunteer day in beautiful Ocean Shores, NSW. They helped to plant trees and protect local wildlife habitats. In addition, these efforts took place alongside environmental organisations and volunteers from across the region.

The event brought together more than 40 volunteers from places including Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Burleigh Heads, Victoria, and the Northern Rivers community. People of all ages participated — from families with young children to students. In addition, many community members passionate about making a positive impact on the environment took part.

Thanks to funding support from Veritree Technology, with trees funded by One Tree Planted and Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife, volunteers successfully planted an incredible 1,000 trees throughout the morning.

Despite forecasts predicting heavy rain, the weather held out long enough for everyone to enjoy the planting activities before the rain arrived at the end of the event. This change — according to many volunteers — made the experience even more memorable.

Our Mindroom crew loved the opportunity to connect with nature, meet people from different backgrounds, and contribute to an important environmental initiative.

At Mindroom, sustainability is something we’re deeply passionate about. Do you know of any inspiring environmental or community initiatives we could get involved in? We’d love to hear your ideas! Be sure to stay connected with our updates, as we regularly participate in events like this. We would love to see you join us. 🌱
