A Year of Success: Mindroom Students and Alumni in 2025

2025 has been an incredible year for our Mindroom students and alumni, full of creativity, leadership, and meaningful community impact. We saw everything from hands-on workshops to student-led projects and personal milestones. As a result, our community has achieved so much — and we’re proud to celebrate their successes!

Academic Progress & Scholarships

This year, Juna progressed from the ICT50220 Diploma of IT Diploma to the Bachelor of IT at Griffith. She benefited from one of our newest credit linkage agreements and a scholarship. Moreover, her journey highlights the strong academic pathways we’re building to support our students’ growth and aspirations.

Visa & Work Opportunities

Our students are taking their skills into the real world:

  • Several students successfully obtained the 485 Graduate Visa after completing the ICT50220 Diploma of IT Diploma. This marked an important step in their professional journeys.
  • Paul, Apollo, and Emilio received training visas, opening doors to practical work experience in Australia.

Professional Development & Programs

Mindroom students continued to thrive through professional programs:

  • Angelo and Sharon participated in the Kickstart Graduate Program, gaining valuable industry experience.
  • Miriam Garcia Eiros, Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design graduate, secured sponsorship in Marketing. This demonstrates the real-world impact of our courses.

Student-Led Projects & Community Engagement

Our students and alumni led inspiring initiatives that made a real difference in 2025:

  • Vanessa launched Aurora Arts Evolve, a creative initiative celebrating student innovation and collaboration.
  • Tamaya organised a surf event with Sunny Mates. Meanwhile, Pedro created a surf film about Cyclone Alfred, showcasing storytelling and creativity.
  • Student Development Lab workshops provided hands-on learning and skill-building, including Caio’s workshop and Salvi’s interactive session. These sessions supported students in developing practical, industry-ready skills.
  • Students participated in a Beach Clean Up with Yandressa, supporting sustainability along the Gold Coast coastline.
  • The Sustainability Walk at Burleigh Heads National Park offered a unique perspective on community and environmental care.
  • A Tropical Fruit World visit gave students hands-on project management experience, similar to the Gecko Walk.

Entrepreneurship & Creative Ventures

Our creative students also turned their passions into businesses:

2025 has been a year of growth, creativity, and impact for our Mindroom community. We saw academic achievements and professional milestones as well as student-led initiatives and entrepreneurial ventures. For these reasons, we’re proud to support and celebrate the achievements of every student and alumnus.

Here’s to an even more inspiring 2026 — full of opportunities, creativity, and community impact!
