Sustainability Walk with Gecko & Yandressa – PHOTOS!

On the 6th November, our Project Management students spent the afternoon reconnecting with Mother Nature — right in our own backyard, the heart of Burleigh Heads. And yes, we’ve got some beautiful photos from the day that perfectly capture the energy and joy of the experience! 📸

Guided by Vicky from Gecko Environment Council, students explored the local area. They learned about the rich biodiversity that surrounds us. Vicky shared insights into the delicate balance of our ecosystems. She also discussed the ongoing challenges of protecting our natural environment.

After the walk, our Project Management student Yandressa led a reflective self-love activity. She encouraged everyone to slow down, breathe deeply, and appreciate the moment. It was a gentle reminder of how vital it is to look after our inner world. This is important while caring for the planet around us — especially after long days spent in front of screens and managing projects.

This initiative is part of a broader series of events that reflect our ongoing commitment to wellbeing, self-awareness, and sustainability. We believe that developing mindful and environmentally conscious professionals is key to building a more balanced and sustainable future.

A huge thank you to the Gecko Environment Council team, to Yandressa, to our PM tutor Lisa, and to all the students and staff who joined this meaningful experience. 💚
