Graphic Design Students: Showcase Your Work with Artbox 2025!

Graphic design students are you eager to get your artwork displayed in public spaces? Here’s your chance! Artbox 2025 is calling for local artists to submit their existing designs. This will give you a chance to have your work showcased on traffic signal boxes across the Gold Coast.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graphic design students to not only beautify our city but also to gain exposure and earn a commission.

What is Artbox?
Artbox is an initiative designed to reduce graffiti on the City’s traffic signal boxes and enhance the beauty of our neighbourhoods. Traffic signal boxes, often located at major intersections, can become targets for graffiti. To address this, Artbox engages local artists, schools, and community groups to install vibrant artwork on the boxes. This is done using high-quality laminate, creating a public art display that everyone can enjoy.

Why Get Involved?
As a graphic design student, this is your chance to showcase your work in a visible public space. Artbox 2025 will feature around 200 traffic signal boxes across the Gold Coast, giving your design the opportunity to reach thousands of people. Plus, successful applicants will be awarded $500 per artwork!

How to Apply
The call for submissions for Artbox 2025 is now open! If you have an existing design or artwork, you can submit it for the chance to be featured. This is an open opportunity for all local graphic design students, schools, and community groups. Just make sure to submit your work by Monday, March 3rd.
