24 July 2024: Cyber Security: What Does it Take to Be an ICT Product Evaluator
Failure to understand the different types of ICT security issues risks by designers and developers often leads to security flaws. This panel session will provide participants with an understanding of how evaluations of ICT products are undertaken under AISEP and similar programs.
Consideration of current and emergent cyber security risks must commence as early as possible in the ICT product development lifecycle. Government and industry must collaborate to manage ICT security throughout the entire life cycle by searching for and addressing design weaknesses, implementation errors, and manufacturing problems, combining ICT products (software or hardware) and supply chain analysis.
Join this event to hear from Erin Glenn, Director of Product Management, Belkin International (visiting from the US), Dr Hin Chan, Manager, Australian Certification Authority, Australian Cyber Security Centre, ASD, and Patrick Campbell-Dunn, founder of Securus Consulting Group, will share their perspectives as Program authorities, technology evaluators, and product manufacturers who consume evaluation services.
