The FOUR volunteer opportunities with PMIQ
Opportunity 1 | Technology
Are you looking for an opportunity to broaden your project management experience and take part in new challenges? Do you have an interest in all things digital and technology related?
The PMIQ Queensland Chapter is looking for volunteers to join our Digital & Technology team and provide support with IT related operations and improvements. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door and also get access to events and workshops held at our chapter.
What are we looking for? Positive attitude and a desire to learn!
Opportunity 2 | Marketing
Seeking a dedicated marketing all-rounder who is keen on learning and applying expertise to the digital space.
This will include and is not limited to:
– Generating text and graphic based content for social media, email & company website through Canva
– Bitly link generation
– Sending emails to members via PMI emailing platform
– Scheduling social media posts via PMIQ social media platform
Opportunity 3 | Content / Video / Photography / Design
The focus for this role is more on digital content creation, photography, videography and graphic design. Volunteer must have their own camera equipment.
Opportunity 4 | Event Assistant
This role is for someone who has a fresh perspective in the industry, is a good communicator and is starting out in their career at entry level. You will work closely with an event co-ordinator and event manager. Time commitment is very important.
Tasks will include, but not limited to:
– Event coordination works (Organising venue, drinks and foods)
– Interactions/Coordination with project management professionals
– Face to face customer service
A volunteer generally gives 3 hours of their time a week. PMIQ understands that each person has a unique schedule and are therefore happy to discuss what would suit you. These volunteer roles do require a certain level of commitment, however it is very rewarding and helps build an individual’s profile and skills.
